Surrounded by splendid mountain peaks of Neelkanth and Nar-Narayan, Badrinath Dham is a small religious town located in Chamoli, Uttarakhand. It is a prime location of the famous Badrinath temple devoted to Lord Vishnu. Adorned with river Alaknanda on one side, Badrinath is a mesmerising spot with picturesque panorama. The place received its name because of the berry (Badri) trees growing abundantly in the area. According to an ancient legend, the area was visited by Lord Vishnu to meditate when he was rebuked by Narad for his engagement in worldly pleasures. The temple has a tall statue of Lord Vishnu carved in black stone to honour the deity. The temple also has various other legends and historical facts associated with it. Amidst the various myths and legends, Badrinath is a sacred shrine that invites many visitors throughout the year. Itinerary
Day 1: An Incredible Evening In Haridwar
  • Upon arrival, our expert guide will meet you at the Delhi airport to assist you on your commute to Haridwar. Board the cab for a 6-hour drive. Our expert guide will drop you comfortably at your hotel in Haridwar. Once done with the check-in formalities, relax, unwind, and enjoy some tasty meal in the hotel. Take a spiritual tour to the Mansa Devi, Chandi Devi, and Daksha Mahadev Temple. At dusk, we will visit the Har-ki-Pauri to witness the amazing Ganga Aarti. The sacred incantation of the Vedic hymn to worship river Ganga and the sight of hundreds of floating lamps in the river are absolutely captivating, overwhelming, and powerful. It is one-of-a-kind and not-to-be-missed experience in Haridwar. At night, we will drop you at the hotel for a restful sleep.

Day 2: A Mesmerising Tour To Rudraprayag
  • Wake up early in the morning to have a refreshing Ganga Snan or bathing in river Ganga. Have a lovely breakfast in the hotel before you board the coach for a journey of 5-6 hours to reach Rishikesh. On entering Rishikesh, we will have to get our vehicle registered and the process takes around two hours. Once the biometric registration formalities are done, we will drive straight to Rudraprayag via Devprayag. The Devprayag is a small spiritual town in Tehri Garhwal where river Alaknanda meets river Bhagirathi. It is one of the five confluences called the Panch Prayag. From here onwards, Bhagirathi takes the name of river Ganga.
  • Our tour guide will drop you comfortably at your hotel in Rudraprayag. Complete the check-in formalities. Relax, unwind, and enjoy a lovely meal in the hotel before you head out to explore the religious town. Rudraprayag is also one among the Panch Prayag. At Rudraprayag, river Alaknanda meets river Mandakini. At night, we will return to the hotel for a well-rested sleep.

Day 3: A Relaxing Evening At Badrinath
  • Start early and enjoy a delectable breakfast at the hotel. Complete the check-out formalities and board the cab to reach your hotel in Badrinath driving through Joshimath. Complete the check-in formalities, relax, and unwind for sometime before heading out to explore the shrine. The premises of the shrine have many revered spots of religious significance including the Tapt Kund, Narad Kund, Brahma Kapal, Charan Paduka, Vasundhara, Sheshnetra, Bheem Pul, Vyas Gufa, and Mata Murti Temple. Pilgrims often witness the magnificence of Badrivishal after having a bath in the Tapt Kund. A visit to the Brahma Kapal is significantly important as a spot for after death rituals of Pind Dan and Shraddh of ancestors. In the evening, we will visit the Badrinath Temple for Aarti. At night, we will drop you at the hotel for a restful sleep.

Day 4: A Rejuvenating Journey to Rishikesh
  • Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel. Complete your check-out formalities and board the private cab for a 4-hour drive to Rishikesh via Joshimath.
  • Joshimath is primarily famous as one of the four Maths originated by Guru Adi Shankaracharya. It is located at the confluence of river Alaknanda and river Dhauliganga. Amongst the four Maths, Joshimath is known as the winter seat for Badrinath. In winters, the idol from the Badrinath temple is transferred and installed in a temple at Joshimath for pilgrims to worship. The shrine has various important temples of great spiritual significance including the Nir Singh temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The arm of the Lord Vishnu idol located in the temple is gradually withering with time. According to mythological beliefs, the Badrinath valley will no longer exist once the arm of the deity withers completely. We will visit some important sights in Joshimath during our commute.
  • Rishikesh is a spiritual town located on the banks of river Ganga amidst the Shivalik range. It is also called a place of sages. According to Hindu mythology, God Hrishikesh appeared in the area to answer the hard penances of Raibhya Rishi, hence the name. Our tour guide will comfortably drop you at your hotel in Rishikesh. Complete the check-in formalities, relax for sometime, and enjoy a lovely meal at the hotel. Spend a leisurely evening exploring the town. At night, we will return to the hotel for a relaxing sleep.

Day 5: Return Journey to Haridwar and Delhi
  • Start your day with a lovely breakfast in the hotel. Complete your check-out formalities and board the cab to have a refreshing tour to various sites of religious importance in Rishikesh. Visit the Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Bharat Mandir, Sivananda Ashram, and the Triveni Ghat. A mesmerising tour of amazing heritage wonders in Rishikesh will end with a drive back to Delhi via Haridwar. Our tour guide will drop you at the airport for your return travel. Have a happy departure from the airport and you visit us again for another exciting journey of enlightenment.
